This course is designed to equip students with key computing and information technology concepts and skills required for the 21st century. Students develop computing and ICT competencies and practical skills that are appropriate for their age. Students follow stories of animal characters to learn the types, parts, and uses of computers, basic symbols and operations, online safety and digital citizenship, maintaining privacy, representing data and managing files and folders, the basics of bits and bytes, the basics of tables and graphs, the basics of networks, directions and patters to represent algorithms, the basics of loops and repetition, following instructions and creating plans, and writing and debugging simple code using block-based languages. Finally, students will learn the basics of AI using interactive tools and robots.
