AIQ is recognized by the College Board as an endorsed provider of curriculum and professional development for AP® Computer Science Principles (AP CSP). Using an Endorsed Provider affords schools access to resources including an AP CSP syllabus pre-approved by the College Board’s AP Course Audit, and officially recognized professional development that prepares teachers to teach AP CSP. This endorsement affirms only that components of Endorsed Provider’s offerings are aligned to all the AP Curriculum Framework standards and the AP CSP assessment.

AP Computer Science Principles curriculum exposes students to the fundamental ideas of computer science while challenging them to investigate and learn how computing and technology might affect the world around them. It is a rigorous and interesting curriculum that addresses the core ideas of computing through a comprehensive set of tools and hands-on activities.

Throughout the curriculum, students will learn how to design, build, and evaluate solutions for various problems by creating algorithms and computer programs and using abstraction techniques.

Additionally, they will be able to explain how computer advances and systems function, investigate their possible implications, and contribute to a collaborative and ethical computing culture.

AIQ provides teachers with a full set of resources to help them in teaching the curriculum and qualify their students to sit for the AP Computer Science Principles exam. Resources for teachers include, but not limited to, unit plans, lesson plans, activities, differentiated learning tools and more.

Professional Learning Opportunities

AIQ has designed and developed a phenomenal professional learning program that is enriched with plenty of resources, unit plans, and lesson plans for AP Computer Science Principles teachers. After attending the 4-day PD sessions, teachers will be able to steer the curriculum and get their students involved in a spectacular learning experience. Throughout the PD, teachers will learn about the details of AP CSP curriculum, how to plan and teach their lessons, as well as how to boost and assess students’ progress in a differentiated manner using AIQ online platform. The PD sessions can be delivered in person, online instructor-led, or online self-paced.

✅ Professional Learning 3: Oct 17-20

Each day in the professional development learning program will begin with an introduction to the subjects, followed by a deep dive into any associated student misunderstandings, and then transition into a more open conversation about the pedagogy shown in the material, with opportunity for senior CS teachers to contribute their best practices. The event will include addressing questions from instructors as well as talks on various levels to expound on essential topics and issues.
